Beardie in Bobbin Work


Create a darling Bearded Collie while learning how to do bobbin work. Patterns will be provided. You will use perle cotton in the bobbin for fabulous fur. The Beardie can be appliqued to any background you choose The finished dog will be about 10" high.
Students will learn how to do bobbin work with perle cotton to fill an area, not just stitch a line. Winding the bobbin, using it in the machine, marking the sewing area, placing fabric behind the stitching, 'reverse' stitching, and appliqueing the project to a fabric background will all be taught. Half day. All levels

Mini Stitch Sampler

Learn how to use free-motion stitching to create beautiful natural landscape elements. The key to realism is using multiple colors of thread, along with free-motion zigzag and straight stitching. You’ll learn how to create deciduous, evergreen, and palm trees, grasses, bushes and small flowers to enhance your projects, then take home your samples for reference on your next free-motion stitching endeavor. You’ll even leave with notes right on the sample so you’re ready to tackle the next idea you have!

Dyeing for a Landscape


Can you believe that it is possible to dye fabric and make it into a landscape in one short day? You will learn how to instantly dye silk and use luscious layers of it to make a beautiful Florida scene in this one day class. Bonnie will teach you how to dye the silks, build a landscape and machine stitch a few details. You will have the freedom to rearrange your sunset/sunrise scene. This is suitable for framing. Come ready for fun and amazement! This dye is non-toxic and is used for natural fabrics. Full Day, all levels


Kit fee of $20 you will have everything you need short of a few basic supplies.
