We have firmed up the contracts and we are ready to go. Your first wonderful workshop will be led by Ellen Osten, national Director of Education for Sulky of America, Inc., national teacher since 1988 of beginning to advanced quilting, threadology, thread painting and garment sewing. Ellen has been on national television, traveled the country teaching, to rave reviews, and has agreed to be with us all Monday afternoon through our Welcome Dinner on Monday evening.

One of the most energetic, exuberant people we have ever known will be presenting 3-D, dimensional borders demonstrating 4 unique ways to make your borders interesting, ahh inspiring and anything but boring. One of our own, Margaret LoBianco, will be showing and you will be doing, special techniques for finishing a quilt like you have never done before.

Want to be able to keep your sewing machine humming along with no skipped stitches, proper oiling techniques, including the little Singer Featherweight? Fear no more, for machine maintenance specialists Ella and Donna will show you how. You will need your machine manual for this workshop.

Alma Sue's is planning a special shopping evening for you on Tuesday and on Wednesday afternoon there will be a special pop up shop by the Modern Sewist. Remember, everyone is invited to every workshop as there is no limit to the number of students in each workshop. Choose to attend or choose to continue sewing, chatting and laughing with friends, swimming or relaxing in heated pool or shopping. This is your retreat!

On your last evening, Pie and Cake Night will be yummy and you will meet a unique talent that is guaranteed to make you smile and to keep you smiling even the next morning.

Just to review a couple of things, check in is 10:00am to 1:00pm on Monday morning, the first workshop will begin about 1:30 and the Welcome Dinner will be at 6:00 Monday evening with Morning Song beginning at 8:30am Tuesday.
