A waiting list will be made from paid registrations after the class is filled. No refunds can be made unless there is a waiting list, or in the event of no waiting list, you find a replacement. While classes are open to non-members, VAQG members receive first preference when registering for a class. Any non-member who has registered for a class that has been filled by members may join the wait list or receive a full refund.

"21st Century Deco Art" Zoom Class with Kelly Ashton of Kellyquilter Designs

 

Skill Level:Intermediate





The appearance of movement in this quilt is so intriguing!  The participant will learn to make half-rectangle units, use partial seam technique (NOT the same as set-in seams!), and how to mirror-image the patchwork so the blocks appear to spin either to the right or to the left.  This is a fun block to piece and to explore different settings.   There are mirror-imaged blocks and “standard” and “reversed” patchwork.

The project is 56” x 56”.




Supply List

Kelly recommends the Creative Grids Perfect Rectangle 9.5" ruler. It's $23.99 on Amazon.
Another ruler is the Good Measure 1/2 rectangle for $14.99.
Class registration closes at midnight on January 18, 2024.
